हरिद्वार: कनखल स्थित शंकराचार्य मठ में रविवार को उत्तर प्रदेश के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव शंकराचार्य स्वामी स्वरूपानंद से भेंट करने के लिए पहुंचे। मठ पहुंचकर अखिलेश सीधे स्वामी स्वरूपानंद के कक्ष में गए।
इससे पहले उन्होंने अविमुक्तानंद सरस्वती से भी मुलाकात की। इसके बाद उन्होंने गंगा पूजन भी किया।
गौर हो कि साल 2015 में जब उत्तर प्रदेश में अखिलेश यादव की सरकार थी. तब जगद्गुरू शंकराचार्य स्वरूपानंद सरस्वती के शिष्य अविमुक्तेशवरानंद और उनके बटुकों पर लाठीचार्ज हुआ था।
जिसके बाद अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद ने कहा था कि अखिलेश को इस घटना का अंजाम भुगतना पड़ेगा। साल 2015 की उस घटना के बाद यह पहला मौका है, जब अखिलेश यादव स्वामी अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद से मिलने पहुंचे हों।
वहीं, यूपी के पूर्व सीएम अखिलेश यादव ने कहा कि यह उनके लिए सौभाग्य की बात है कि स्वामी अविमुक्तेश्वरानंद ने उन्हें मिलने का समय दिया। आज उनसे मिलकर लगा कि उनसे बार-बार मिलना चाहिए।
