देहरादून:  प्रदेश में पर्यटकों के लिए एडवेंचर पर्यटन को प्रोत्साहन देने और इससे जुड़ी गतिविधियों में और तेजी लाने के लिए उत्तराखण्ड पर्यटन विकास परिषद द्वारा गढ़ी कैंट देहरादून में एडवेंचर विंग का गठन किया गया है। कर्नल अश्विन पुंडीर (भारतीय थल सेना) द्वारा अतिरिक्त मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (एसीईओ) एडवेंचर स्पोर्ट्स के रूप में पदभार संभाला है। इनके अलावा जल क्रीड़ा विशेषज्ञ के रूप में अनुज सिंह, थल क्रीड़ा विशेषज्ञ के रूप में रणवीर सिंह नेगी और वायु क्रीड़ा विशेषज्ञ के रूप में ग्रुप कैप्टन (रि0) आरके सिंह ने एडवेंचर विंग में पदभार संभाला है।

यूटीडीबी द्वारा गठित एडवेंचर विंग आने वाले दिनों में प्रदेश में होने वाले साहसिक खेलों की गतिविधियों का निरीक्षण करने के साथ ही नये साहसिक खेल स्थलों का चयन करेगी।

पर्यटन मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने कहा, ‘‘हम राज्य में साहसिक पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए लगातार काम कर रहे हैं। इसे ध्यान में रखते हुए साहसिक खेलों को बेहतर तरीके से आयोजित करने के लिए एडवेंचर विंग का गठन किया गया है। हम प्रदेश में पर्यटन को विकसित करने के लिए कई अन्य गतिविधियों की भी योजना बना रहे हैं जो स्थानीय युवाओं को रोजगार के अवसर प्रदान करेंगी। पूनम चंद, अपर निदेशक, उत्तराखण्ड पर्यटन विकास परिषद ने बताया कि साहसिक खेल गतिविधियों के विकास हेतु के लिए एडवेंचर विंग का गठन किया गया है। उन्होंने कहा निकट भविष्य में एडवेंचर विंग संबंधित अन्य नियुक्तियां भी की जाएगी। जिससे राज्य के साहसिक पर्यटन के विकास को नये आयाम मिलेंगे।
