देहरादून:  मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी से मुख्यमंत्री आवास में इंटरनेशनल रोटरी क्लब के अध्यक्ष शेखर मेहता के नेतृत्व में प्रतिनिधि मण्डल ने भेंट की। इस अवसर पर उत्तराखण्ड में शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, पर्यावरण व जल संरक्षण एवं अन्य क्षेत्रों में रोटरी क्लब द्वारा राज्य सरकार को सहयोग देने पर चर्चा की गई।

मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार युवाओं को स्वरोजगार उपलब्ध कराने की दिशा में अनेक कार्य कर रही है। इसमें रोटरी क्लब द्वारा क्या सहयोग दिया जा सकता है, इस दिशा में प्रयास हों। उत्तराखण्ड में सीमान्त एवं ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों से पलायन को रोकने के लिए रोटरी क्लब से सहयोग की अपेक्षा मुख्यमंत्री ने की। उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड के सीमान्त क्षेत्रों से पलायन रोकना जरूरी है। इन क्षेत्रों में रह रहे लोग को सीमा प्रहरी के रूप में विशेष भूमिका रहती है। बैठक के दौरान प्रदेश के दूरस्थ क्षेत्रों को टेलीमेडिसिन की सुविधा, ई-लर्निंग, बालिकाओं के लिए मार्शल आर्ट की ट्रेंनिंग, साक्षरता अभियान आदि विषयों पर चर्चा हुई ।

इंटरनेशनल रोटरी क्लब के अध्यक्ष श्री शेखर मेहता ने उपहार स्वरूप गुलदस्ते की जगह पर पौधा देने की मुख्यमंत्री की पहली की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि रोटरी क्लब द्वारा उत्तराखण्ड में 10 हजार पौधे रोपे जायेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार को क्लब द्वारा हर संभव सहयोग देने का प्रयास किया जायेगा। राज्य में टेलीमेडिसिन की सुविधा, स्वास्थ्य शिविरों की व्यवस्था, साक्षरता को बढ़ाने के लिए लर्निंग मैटीरियल, कुपोषण मुक्ति, मार्शल आर्ट ट्रेनिंग, जल संरक्षण की दिशा में राज्य सरकार को सहयोग दिया जायेगा। सीमांत क्षेत्रों के लोगों की आर्थिकी को बढ़ावा दने के लिए क्या किया जा सकता है, इस पर विचार कर आवश्यक सहयोग किया जायेगा।

इस अवसर पर रोटरी क्लब से कमल सांगवी, अजय मदान, अरूण शर्मा, सुशांत आहूजा एवं अन्य गणमान्य उपस्थित थे।
