देहरादूनः पुलिस कर्मियों को 4600 ग्रेड पे दिये जाने को लेकर बड़ी संख्या में पुलिस कर्मियों के परिवार की महिलायें रविावार को राजधानी के गांधी पार्क पर धरना देने पहुंची।

पुलिस परिवार के सदस्यों ने सरकार से मांग की है कि पुलिस कर्मियों को 4600 ग्रेड पे दिया जाए। कोविड के चलते गांधी पार्क बंद होने से महिलाओं ने गांधी पार्क के बाहर ही जाम लगा दिया।

भारी संख्या में पहुंची महिलाएं सड़क पर खड़ी होकर नारे लगाते हुए प्रदर्शन करती रहीं, जिसके कारण एक तरफ का ट्रैफिक पूरी तरह से जाम हो गया। पुलिस बल द्वारा उन्हें समझाने की कोशिश की गई, लेकिन महिलाएं हटने को तैयार नहीं हुई।

इस सब के बीच एसडीएम के पहुंचने पर प्रदर्शन कर रही महिलाओं ने उन्हें ज्ञापन सौंपा। ज्ञापन के माध्यम से उन्होंने चेतावनी देते हुए कहा है कि यदि 27 तारीख तक उनकी मांग पूरी नहीं होती तो वह बच्चों के साथ सचिवालय के बाहर धरने पर बैठ जाएंगे। इसकी सारी जिम्मेदारी सरकार की होगी।

जाम को देखते हुए एसडीएम ने प्रदर्शनकारी महिलाओं से अपील की कि, वह सड़कों से हट जाएं, पुलिस परिवार की ओर से दिया गया ज्ञापन ले लिया गया है जिसे सक्षम अधिकारी तक पहुंचा दिया जाएगा। जाम के कारण कई वाहन फंस गए हैं और कुछ एम्बुलेंस भी जाम में फंसी हुई है।
