ऋषिकेश। ऋषिकेश में मुनिकीरेती के नाव घाट पर सोमवार को गंगा में नहाने गया एक बुजुर्ग तेज बहाव की चपेट में आ गया। कुछ दूर तक वह पानी में बहता गया। पास ही मौजूद जल पुलिस के जवानों ने बुजुर्गों को सकुशल गंगा से बाहर निकाला।
थाना प्रभारी निरीक्षक मुनीकीरेती कमल मोहन भंडारी ने बताया कि और को गंगा का जलस्तर बहुत अधिक बढ़ा हुआ था। किशन गोपाल मेहता (65 वर्ष) पुत्र दयाराम निवासी सेक्टर नौ बालावाघाट फरीदाबाद हरियाणा जो लगभग दो वर्ष से नाव घाट पर ही रहता है। यह बुजुर्ग सोमवार को नावघाट पर गंगा नदी में स्नान करने गया और अचानक बहने लगा।इसकी सूचना स्थानीय व्यक्तियों द्वारा थाना मुनिकीरेती क्षेत्रान्तर्गत नाव घाट पर तैनात जल पुलिस कर्मियों को दी गई। सूचना पर जल पुलिस कर्मी सुभाष ध्यानी, रवि राणा, जयदीप सिंह तत्काल मौके पर पहुंचे और पानी में कुछ दूर तक बह गए इस व्यक्ति को बचा लिया गया। किशन गोपाल मेहता की ओर से पुलिस टीम का धन्यवाद अदा किया गया।
