देहरादून। हरिद्वार में बुजुर्ग दंपती की हत्या के बाद दून पुलिस बुजुर्गो की सुरक्षा के लिए अलर्ट हो गयी है और वह क्षेत्र में रह रहे बुजुर्गो से सम्पर्क कर उन्हे सुरक्षा के प्रति आश्वस्त करने में जुट गयी है। इस क्रम में कोतवाली ऋषिकेश पुलिस द्वारा क्षेत्र में रह रहे सीनियर सिटीजनों के घर जाकर उनकी कुशलता व परेशानियों के विषय में जानकारी एकत्र की गयी है।
बीते सोमवार की रात जनपद हरिद्वार में अज्ञात बदमाशों द्वारा भेल से रिटायर्ड डीजीएम व उनकी पत्नी की हत्या कर लूटपाट की घटना को अंजाम दिया गया था। बुजुर्ग दम्पत्ति की हत्या की खबर सुनते ही राजधानी दून का पुलिस महकमा अलर्ट हो गया और आलाधिकारियों ने सभी थाने चैकियों को उनके क्षेत्र में अकेले रह रहे बुर्जुग लोगों की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था पुख्ता करने के निर्देश जारी कर दिये।

इस क्रम में ऋषिकेश कोतवाली पुलिस द्वारा क्षेत्र में अकेले रह रहे 121 सीनियर सिटीजनो में से 33 सीनियर सिटीजनों के घर जाकर उनकी कुशलता प्राप्त की गयी है। इस मामले में दून पुलिस के आलाधिकारियों ने सभी थाना प्रभारियों को निर्देशित किया गया है कि वह अपने अपने थाना क्षेत्र में निवासरत बुजुर्ग लोगों से सम्पर्क कर उनकी समस्याओं व सुरक्षा के सम्बन्ध में जानकारी प्राप्त करें।
